Augustin Abbey in Novacella
The Augustin Abbey is one of the most important convents in Tyrol. The majority of the building is open to the public: the baroque collegiate church with the renowned ceiling frescos by Matthäus Günther, the Medieval Stations of the Cross with frescos dating back to the 14th
centuries, the library with its precious manuscript collection, and the Pinakothek with a remarkable collection of Gothic paintings (Friedrich Pacher, Marx Reichlich, Andreas Haller). The winery and the herbal garden are also open to the public.
