S. Ciprian - Bagni di Lavina Bianca/Weisslahnbad
There is something magic about the harbour of
S. Cipriano. Whether nature in this region really has healing powers, as a Swiss tourist presumes, remains to be seen. The Swiss architect Leo Gantenbein who spends his holidays in this area on a regular basis, claims to have found healing stones in the Schweiger River. The malachites, chrysoprases and turquoises are s

upposes to sooth migraines, forehead, larynx and stomach aches. The locals however value the economic activities in this harbour, the access to large forests at the end of the valley, and to pastures and mountains.

The harbour of
Lavina Bianca is located at 1,200 m above sea level surrounded by fresh air in a very protected and calm location. The thermal source experienced its heyday from the 19th to the start of the 20th century. The natural scenery, the travel trend, and the source water attracted many spa guests. The water is supposed to have performed true miracles with regard to illnesses of the limbs, stomach disturbances, weakness of the abdomen and nervous system, rheumatism, anaemia, metabolic diseases, disturbances of the respiratory tract and arthritis.
Today, the thermal source is owned by a family, and the medicinal water is used for traditional tub baths, in the adventure indoor pool and in the outdoor pool. The Bath is accessible for hotel guests only.
